BlockBeats News, May 22 — U.S. Representative Nick Begich officially introduced the "U.S. Reserve Modernization Act" (ARMA), which has received support from 16 original co-sponsors. The bill aims to formally codify into law the strategic Bitcoin reserve previously established by Trump through an executive order. ARMA will establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve, integrate all digital assets held by the federal government, and lock them in as long-term reserves for at least 20 years, while exploring budget-neutral Bitcoin acquisition methods and designing mechanisms to protect the reserve from future government or congressional arbitrary liquidation.

Preventing arbitrary liquidation is crucial; otherwise, the next government could sell it off with just one word.
