I wonder how huge the wealth gap is between the richest actors in the world. Jami Gertz at the top with three billion dollars, and right behind her Brock Pierce with two billion — that’s a completely different level compared to the rest. Jerry Seinfeld with nearly a billion is already a substantial amount, but far from the leaders.
What strikes me is that the wealthiest actors are not always those who star in the biggest movies. Dwayne Johnson has 800 million, Shahrukh Khan 600 million, but then it jumps to those mid-tier with 400-500 million. Tom Cruise, George Clooney, Robert De Niro — all are at a similar level.
Even more interesting are the differences between actors from the U.S. and those from India. Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar have approximately 260 and 240 million — quite a lot, but below those American names. Jackie Chan with 400 million is probably the highest-earning actor outside the U.S.
The wealthiest actors in the world are mainly individuals who built business empires outside of film — investments, production, their own companies. Not just earnings from roles. I wonder how this will change in the coming years?
