I noticed something interesting while analyzing African economies recently. When talking about the most developed country in Africa, many automatically think of South Africa, Egypt, or Nigeria. It's true that in terms of GDP and infrastructure, these three nations clearly lead, followed by Morocco and Kenya.
But here’s where it gets really fascinating. The traditional ranking only tells part of the story. These countries do have the numbers, but what will truly determine Africa’s power in the next 10 years is something completely different.
Think about this: who truly masters technology? Who is seriously investing in renewable energy? Who is building a modern financial infrastructure? That’s where the real game is played. Innovation doesn’t always follow the same ranking as GDP.
Africa isn’t behind; that’s a crucial point. It’s in full construction. And what’s interesting is that several countries that aren’t necessarily at the top of the traditional rankings are making incredible strategic moves right now. They understand that to become Africa’s power of tomorrow, they need to master the three pillars: technology, energy, and finance.
Those who see this now, who identify these trends before everyone else notices, will be ahead. Africa is moving faster than we think.
And you, which country are you betting on for the next decade? In your opinion, what is the truly most developed country in Africa if we look beyond the traditional figures?
