I was looking at the updated ranking of the wealthiest people in the world, and I have to say the numbers are unbelievable. Last January, the situation was already crazy, but continuing to follow this trend is incredible.

Elon Musk dominates completely with 726 billion dollars. It has never happened in modern history for a single person to accumulate so much wealth. The fact that he maintained significant shares in Tesla, SpaceX, and Starlink while expanding everything in the AI sector has put him in an almost unreachable position.

After him, the gap is still huge. Larry Page and Jeff Bezos are in second and third place with 270 and 255 billion respectively. Page benefited greatly from Alphabet’s dominance in artificial intelligence, while Bezos continues to grow thanks to AWS and global logistics expansion.

But what is really fueling this wealth expansion? Mainly three factors. First, the explosion of AI and cloud computing has multiplied the values of major tech companies. Second, the space sector and semiconductors have recorded impressive increases. Third, U.S. tech companies continue to dominate the global market.

Looking at the full top 10: Sergey Brin at 251 billion, Larry Ellison at 248, Mark Zuckerberg at 233, Bernard Arnault at 205, Steve Ballmer at 170, Jensen Huang at 156, and Warren Buffett at 151. What I notice is that the most wealthy people in the world today are mainly founders who have maintained their stock shares over the last few decades. It’s not just luck — it’s a combination of vision, timing, and the ability to stay in the game long-term.

Who are the wealthiest people in the world? Mainly tech innovators who bet everything on digital transformation and are now reaping the benefits. It’s fascinating and a bit unsettling at the same time to see how wealth is increasingly concentrated in a few hands in the tech sector.
