CryptoWorld News reports that on May 21 local time, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce passed relevant bills, including the Sunshine Protection Act, with 48 votes in favor and 1 vote against, aiming to permanently implement daylight saving time. Trump said that making frequent clock adjustments every year causes individuals, cities, and state governments to spend “hundreds of millions of dollars,” especially since high tower clocks require heavy equipment to adjust, making the cost very high. He added that the House plans to attach the Sunshine Protection Act to the “Highway Bill” to advance the legislation and said they will “work very hard” to push for the bill to be ultimately signed into law.
