U.S. Senator Warren requests to delay the Federal Reserve Chair nomination hearing
After meeting with Kevin Wirth, the Federal Reserve chair nominee proposed by Trump, Warren requested that next week’s nomination hearing be postponed. She accused Wirth of failing to disclose investment details of at least $100 million in his financial disclosures, disclosing only two Juggernaut fund investments, each no less than $50 million, and—due to confidentiality agreements—not disclosing the underlying assets, while promising to sell only after confirmation. Warren said this arrangement is insufficient to assess potential conflicts of interest and that the hearing should be advanced only after additional disclosures.
