SpaceX Plans to Build 10 GW Solar Manufacturing Plant Near Austin, Texas

On May 22, it was reported that SpaceX is planning to construct a large-scale 10 gigawatt (GW) solar manufacturing plant near Austin, Texas. This initiative is a key part of Elon Musk's grand vision to provide power support for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers in outer space. Building permit application documents indicate that the plant, located in Bastrop, Texas, will feature a two-story design, with each floor capable of producing 5 gigawatts of solar cells annually.
