honestly just realized how many people don't actually know what 1k means lol. like you see it everywhere on crypto twitter and youtube but some folks are still confused about it. so basically k is just short for kilo which means thousand, so 1k = 1,000. pretty simple right?
then you got million which is 1,000,000 and billion which is 1,000,000,000. the differences are huge when you think about it. like the difference between 1k followers and 1 million followers is insane. or in crypto terms, a coin at 1k market cap vs 1 billion market cap is completely different leagues.
i think a lot of people mix these up especially when they're new to online stuff. whether you're on youtube checking view counts, freelancing and looking at rates, or just scrolling through crypto charts, these terms pop up constantly. once you get it though it's pretty straightforward. 1k is a thousand, million is a thousand thousands, and billion is a thousand millions basically.
anyway if you work online at all you'll see 1k and these other numbers all the time so might as well get comfortable with them now
