Are you interested in which cryptocurrencies should currently be at the center of your attention? When I look at the market today, I see that the most interesting things are not happening in media headlines about record prices, but in how individual projects are developing and adapting technologically.
I remember when Luna and Terra were stars a few years ago. Terra promised a revolution in stablecoins — a decentralized approach as opposed to centralized Tether. Luna had great results, but the reality is that its price has fallen by 66 percent over the past year. This shows how quickly things change in this environment.
I see the same with Solana. This blockchain was built as a response to Ethereum’s scalability issues. When I watched its growth, it was clear that it was solving a real problem — fast and cheap transactions. Today, it’s worth around $87, which is a 48 percent decline, but its ecosystem continues to develop. Solana is interesting precisely because it’s the third generation of blockchain with more innovative technical solutions.
Decentraland and the entire Metaverse segment — that’s a fascinating story. I remember how everyone was talking about it when Facebook changed its name to Meta. The MANA token fell by 72 percent, but the concept of virtual reality on the blockchain remains interesting. Ownership of digital assets through NFT tokens in these worlds is still relevant.
Dogecoin? That’s classic — a joke that became a billion-dollar phenomenon. Doge has fallen by 53 percent, but its community is still active. It’s purely speculative, that’s clear, but it shows the power of community in cryptocurrencies.
Ethereum is holding the best position of all. It only dropped by 15 percent, mainly because almost the entire ecosystem of alternative tokens runs on it. Ethereum is currently undergoing a transformation from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake, which should increase its efficiency. When I look at the best cryptocurrencies from a long-term perspective, Ethereum is clearly at the forefront.
Overall, I would say that the best cryptocurrencies are not those with the highest growth percentages. It’s about projects that solve real problems — Solana with capacity, Ethereum with its ecosystem, Terra with stability. Yes, all of them have fallen, but that’s normal in this cycle. If you’re looking for long-term exposure, you should focus on technological development, not just numbers.
