Today it’s raining and the traffic is jammed, the coffee on the table has cooled down, I browsed some on-chain activity for a while, and saw that there’s again debate about whether to pay royalties in the secondary market. Honestly, I understand that buyers don’t want to pay extra, but creators don’t have ongoing cash flow, and it’s hard to maintain the project later on, so in the end, the community just abandons it. This so-called “voluntary payment” sounds decent, but in reality, it’s just based on mood, which is quite hurtful.

I see myself like someone tending a garden: not expecting a big explosion, preferring the mechanism to be a bit fixed and transparent, so that everyone’s expectations are aligned. Recently, there’s been fierce arguing over privacy coins/mixing coins, and no one can clearly define the compliance boundaries. The more they argue, the less I want to touch black-box protocols… I’ll stick to rules I can understand, and take it slow.
