just realized how many people in crypto don't actually know what 1K means lol. been seeing it everywhere on socials and in trading channels but apparently a lot of folks think it's something different 😅
so basically K = thousand. super simple. 1K is just 1,000. 10K is 10,000. that's it. then you've got Million which is 1,000,000 (six zeros if you're counting), and Billion is 1,000,000,000. honestly these terms are everywhere now - YouTube views, follower counts, crypto market caps, trading volumes, you name it.
when you're scrolling through trading groups or watching crypto content, you'll see prices like "BTC hit 1K in volume" or "altcoin got 1M in market cap overnight." if you don't know the difference between these numbers, you're basically flying blind with the data. like, thinking 1 Million is the same as 1 Billion would completely mess up your understanding of how big something actually is.
anyway, if you're getting into crypto or online work, this stuff comes up constantly. might seem basic but honestly worth knowing cold so you don't misread numbers when it actually matters.
