It’s interesting to see what has happened to global wealth over the past few months. Who is the richest person on Earth in 2026? Elon Musk. And this is no longer just leadership, but some kind of historical record.

According to current data, his wealth is estimated at approximately $726 billion. These are simply wild numbers. No one has ever reached such a level of personal wealth before. The growth is fueled by space technologies through SpaceX, the expansion of Starlink, and of course Tesla stocks. Plus all the hype around neurotechnology and artificial intelligence.

But Musk is not alone at the top. Behind him is a whole crowd of tech magnates. Larry Page, one of Google's founders, is now in second place with $270 billion. Jeff Bezos ranks third with $255 billion, and his wealth is growing thanks to Amazon Web Services and logistics expansions.

Looking at the full top-10, it’s mostly giant tech companies. Sergey Brin with $251 billion, Larry Ellison with $248 billion, Mark Zuckerberg with $233 billion. Next are Bernard Arnault, Steve Ballmer, Jensen Huang, and Warren Buffett rounds out the list with $151 billion.

What’s really interesting is that who is the richest person on Earth right now depends on very specific factors. Artificial intelligence and cloud computing are growing exponentially. Space technologies are experiencing a boom. The semiconductor industry is on the moon. American tech companies simply dominate the global arena.

And notice that most of these people are founders who have held their shares for many years. Their bets have paid off multiple times over. Who is the richest person on Earth is now primarily a question of who invested best in technology and innovation.

The wealth of these individuals has increased by hundreds of billions over the past few months. It’s just a reflection of how the entire tech sector is valued. If you’re not paying attention to this, you miss the understanding of where global capital is heading.
