I was looking at the numbers of global wealth and honestly, what's happening is crazy. At the beginning of the year, the situation of the world's richest people reached entirely new levels, and if you think we're only in May, these figures have already been surpassed. But the pattern is interesting.

Let's start with Elon Musk. This guy has reached a wealth of $726 billion, a figure that frankly has no precedent in modern history. It's not just Tesla, huh – SpaceX is booming, Starlink is expanding, and he's everywhere in the AI sector. It's as if he has King Midas's touch, but with technology.

After him, the list is dominated by tech giants. Larry Page (Google) ranks second with $270 billion, thanks to Alphabet's dominance in artificial intelligence. Bezos is third with $255 billion, and Amazon continues to grow thanks to AWS and logistics. It's interesting to note how the top 10 richest people in the world are almost all connected to the tech sector.

If you look at the full list of the top 10 wealthiest people, you immediately notice the pattern: Sergey Brin at $251 billion, Larry Ellison at $248 billion, Zuckerberg at $233 billion, Bernard Arnault at $205 billion, Ballmer at $170 billion, Jensen Huang at $156 billion, and Buffett closes with $151 billion. It’s a ranking where tech dominates almost completely.

What’s fueling this explosion? Mainly three things. First, AI and cloud computing have literally printed money for those already positioned. Second, the space sector and semiconductors have seen sky-high valuations. Third, American tech companies continue to dominate globally, and founders who have kept their shares are finally seeing decades-long bets pay off.

The interesting part is that this wealth is concentrated in a crazy way. If you add up the fortunes of the top 10, you reach figures that surpass the GDP of entire countries. And the cool thing is that many of these billions are on paper – the value of their companies, not cash in the bank.

If you're curious to follow how the tech markets move and the dynamics of global wealth, Gate remains one of the best places to monitor movements in related assets. But it’s really about observing how global wealth continues to concentrate in fewer and fewer hands, all tied to technological innovation.
