Recently, I came across a topic that made me think of a very practical question: where should we really focus our energy?

Honestly, making money is not some dirty or vulgar pursuit. On the contrary, it might be the most pragmatic decision you can make. I have many friends who always want to first build good connections, first manage relationships well, first cultivate good character, but in the end, they accomplish nothing. Because without money as a foundation, these things are too fragile.

Hospitals don’t care whether you are a good person or a bad person; they only recognize money. Society is the same. You’ll find that once you have no money, kindness can actually be trampled on. Others will find all kinds of flaws in you, question you, mock you, blame you. And what about the wealthy? The same behaviors in them become personality, confidence, independence.

I often hear people say, “I don’t want to live just to make money,” which sounds very reasonable, but what is the reality? The reality is that they are repeatedly battered by life. Without independent earning ability, you can only rely on others, living according to their moods. The poor really do have a short temper, become stingy, shrink back; to keep a job, they’re always thinking about how to please their boss. Is this the freedom you want?

The biggest difficulty in making money isn’t the method, but the mindset. Many people have too strong a sense of morality, feeling they can’t do this or that, so they end up doing nothing. Others are always immersed in various negative emotions, making excuses to escape. In my opinion, these people simply can’t handle it; they’ll still be the same at seventy or eighty years old.

Having face is the biggest obstacle. Truly successful people in making money are generally not “good people”; they don’t care what others think. The top players focus on how to get things done, while mediocrities care about how they appear. This state of “selflessness” may look like shamelessness, but it’s actually the highest form of life wisdom.

Look at those who have truly succeeded; their brains, emotional intelligence, and resilience are top-tier. Those who seem diligent and smart on the surface are often just paper tigers upon closer inspection. Those who can make money are truly rare.

Making money is essentially the best form of cultivation. Once you’ve experienced the taste of earning, you can never go back to the passive waiting and being arranged by others. The real sense of relaxation comes from overcoming high-intensity challenges in the past. Doing nothing only brings pain; focusing on one thing can instead bring a huge flow state.

Finally, I want to say that neglecting the pursuit of making money will only lead you to be repeatedly manipulated by life. Focusing all your energy on irrelevant things will only bring endless worries. But once you decide to seriously pursue money, all confusion and troubles can actually be resolved.
