For many years, I have been pondering a fundamental question — what is a trend?
This seemingly simple question has troubled me for many years, and I believe most traders have had similar doubts.
If I just look up the definition on Baidu Baike, saying that a trend is the overall movement of people or things developing in a vague direction, I can only smile wryly.
This kind of definition has no practical meaning for traders at all.
It was only when I studied the 'True Yin and True Yang Trading Theory' that I truly understood the essence of a trend.
According to this theory, a trend forms after true Yin and true Yang.
After true Yang comes a bullish trend, after true Yin comes a bearish trend.
This is the clearest definition of a trend.
And most people talk about following the trend, but what they are actually chasing is this vague, unclear directional movement.
From this definition, you can also see that although the 'True Yin and True Yang Trading Theory' originates from traditional Yin-Yang philosophy, it is fundamentally a quantitative theory.
True Yin indicates shorting, true Yang indicates going long, and in between is holding a position, with the key being patience.
I still remember when a certain instructor from Sina Finance started explaining these theories, he was attacked by many people.
Maybe this is our local flaw — we tend to criticize strangers without reason, even when there is no conflict of interest, and their words are well-intentioned, we still criticize them.
These people only speak coldly; if they have real opinions, they should present their own viewpoints.
That’s what truly capable people do.
Recently, I organized a real-time position holding list (account with 300 USD).
This example better illustrates what a real тенденция это is — it’s not vague guesses, but trading decisions based on clear signals.
