Russian and Belarusian troops conduct nuclear force exercises
CryptoWorld News, on May 21, Russian President Putin and Belarusian President Lukashenko held a nuclear forces exercise via video link.
This is the first joint strategic and tactical nuclear forces drill conducted by Russian and Belarusian troops.
During the exercise, Russian and Belarusian soldiers completed live-fire tests of the "Yars" intercontinental ballistic missile, "Zircon" hypersonic missile, "Bluefin" submarine-launched ballistic missile, "Iskander-M" ballistic missile, as well as air-launched cruise missiles and "Dagger" missiles, all successfully hitting targets and verifying their intended performance.
Putin stated that nuclear weapons are an extreme and special measure to ensure the national security of both countries, and that the nuclear triad should continue to be a reliable guarantee of sovereignty for the Russia-Belarus alliance, maintaining global nuclear balance and power equilibrium.
He also said that Russia and Belarus do not intend to engage in an arms race but will continue to develop strategic and tactical nuclear forces, keeping the nuclear triad at a necessary and sufficient level.
