I wonder how much the biggest Hollywood stars really earn. I looked through the list of the richest actors in the world, and honestly, the scale shocks me. At the top is Jami Gertz with 3 billion dollars, but wait... she's more of an investor than a pure actress. When it comes to traditional actors, Brock Pierce has 2 billion, although most of his wealth comes from cryptocurrencies, not film roles.
It's astonishing that Jerry Seinfeld, with nearly a billion dollars, is one of the wealthiest on the list. Dwayne Johnson, Tom Cruise, George Clooney – all hover between 500 and 800 million. This shows that the biggest money is really made on TV series, not movies. Seinfeld earned mainly from his sitcom, similarly Jerry Louis-Dreyfus.
The wealthiest pure-blood actor is probably Leonardo DiCaprio with 300 million, but that's still less than comedians. I'm curious whether these numbers account for actual asset portfolios or just earnings from the entertainment industry. I estimate that in a few years, the ranking will change, especially with new blockbusters and streaming.
