Just scrolled through some historical bitcoin price data and the evolution is wild. Started digging into December 31 closing prices going back to 2010, and man, the progression really puts things in perspective. Back in 2010 we're talking $0.30, then 2011 hit $4.74. By 2013 it was already at $757, which seemed insane at the time. Fast forward to 2017 and we see $14,082 on New Year's Eve - that was the peak everyone remembers. 2018 crashed hard to $3,742 but then 2020 went ballistic at $28,992. 2021 peaked at $46,230, then the bear market brought it down to $16,554 in 2022. Recovery kicked in with $42,320 in 2023, and just looking at the December 31 2025 close of $87,934, bitcoin price has basically gone parabolic over the long term. Even with all the volatility, the overall trend is pretty undeniable if you zoom out and look at the full picture. Each cycle seems to build on the last one.
