I saw an updated list circulating of the 100 richest men in the world, and there's a lot to note. Of course, Elon Musk is still at the top with $444 billion, followed by Bezos and Zuckerberg. What strikes me is how much wealth is concentrated in the United States, but also how the number of billionaires from Asia and other regions is growing.
Among the interesting names: Bill Gates and Buffett remain among the wealthiest despite no longer being active in their main businesses. Then there are the tech titans like Huang of Nvidia ($118 billion), Page and Brin of Google. And we can't overlook the strong presence of Chinese entrepreneurs: Jack Ma, Zhang Yiming (ByteDance), Lei Jun (Xiaomi). Also, a certain creator of one of the largest crypto exchanges appears on the list with nearly $59 billion, though I prefer not to mention him directly.
The Walton family remains an impressive dynasty, as do the French luxury tycoons like Arnault and Wertheimer. The geographic distribution is interesting: many Americans, but also Indians, Germans, Russians. Global wealth is truly spread around, even though the United States still dominate the top 10 of the 100 richest men in the world.
