I just saw that the average salary in Japan reached 340,600 yen in 2025 according to the Japanese Ministry of Health.

Practically, it's the fourth consecutive year of record, which is quite remarkable if you think about it.

What struck me is that this figure does not include overtime and other bonuses, so the actual number could be even higher.
Compared to 2024, we are up 3.1%, and interestingly, last year the growth of the average salary in Japan was around 3%.

According to Jin10, this upward trend suggests a certain stability in the Japanese labor market.
It's not explosive growth, but it is steady, which is significant for an economy like Japan's.
We will see if the average salary in Japan will continue to rise this year as well.
