just realized you can actually make decent money just by watching shows lol. like, there's whole television assistant jobs and gig work built around this stuff that i never knew existed.

so apparently focus groups pay hundreds just to watch pilots and give opinions—makes sense companies want feedback before they air stuff. then there's caption writing through places like Rev where you transcribe what's happening on screen, which sounds chill if you're detail-oriented.

swagbucks is probably the easiest one—just watch news clips daily and answer questions about them. people say you can hit like $200+ a month if you're consistent. netflix actually hires people to tag shows with metadata so their recommendation algorithm works better, which is kind of cool when you think about it.

there's also the nielsen box thing where they literally just monitor what you're watching. random selection but you can sign up to increase your chances.

basically if you're gonna be glued to your tv anyway, might as well get paid. none of these are gonna replace a real job but solid side income if you're looking for television-related work you can do from home. anyone here actually doing any of these?
