Grid/DCA is not about "who is smarter," but about "who can sleep better at night." I have seen too many people say they are in it for the long term, but as soon as a needle prick happens, they start trembling, especially recently with staking unlocks and unlock calendars being brought up again to scare people. When selling pressure and anxiety come, the mindset often breaks before the position does.

Personally, I prefer to be "someone willing to trade time for certainty," rather than "someone who bets their life on emotions." Grid/DCA at least breaks down decisions, so you don't have to stare at the K-line before bed wondering if you bought at the top; of course, a one-shot trade is exciting, but you have to admit you're buying for excitement, not cash flow. Frankly, the strategy that allows you not to change plans every day is your real strategy.
