My mindset has recently undergone a "version update": I used to insist on mainnet, thinking that if it's expensive, at least the settlement is there, so I can rest assured.

Now, honestly, my wallet can't handle it anymore; a slight gas spike makes me start questioning life...
So the compromise is: for daily small and frequent transactions, use L2 for a smoother experience;
If it's for long-term holding or permission changes, I still prefer to do it once on the mainnet to avoid too much fuss.

The community has been arguing over privacy coins/mixing compliance boundaries these days, and it's pretty exhausting to watch.
Anyway, I don't take sides, I only care about cash flow:
Any network where the fees I pay can go back to the protocol or the token holders' pockets, I’m willing to be more patient;
Those that just burn money and tell stories, no matter how "good the experience," are just so-so.
Let's leave it at that for now.
