Lately, I've been struggling with security: hardware wallets, multi-signature, social recovery—how to choose... Honestly, it still depends on your holdings and whether you can stick with the "hassle."
I'm currently practicing with a small position; hardware wallets feel the most straightforward—unplug it and feel secure, but I'm also worried about losing my seed phrase.
Multi-signature sounds very hardcore, but just thinking about preparing two or three keys and testing the process makes me, a newbie, feel overwhelmed and possibly mess up.
As for social recovery, it's suitable for lazy people but requires trusting "people." Whether friends are reliable and if relationships might change—these are pretty realistic concerns.
Recently, I also saw social mining and fan token schemes—"attention is mining." I'm a bit excited but also a bit scared: the more I follow, the larger the attack surface...
Anyway, I plan to start with hardware + small, diversified amounts, then gradually upgrade—no need to bite off more than I can chew.
