Federal Reserve Chair Powell: Inflation triggered by tariffs is expected to decline over the next two quarters

Federal Reserve Chair Powell said that inflation caused by tariffs is expected to ease over the next two quarters. Before considering lowering interest rates, they certainly want to look at the other side of energy and tariffs first. The number of officials supporting a shift to a neutral stance has increased; perhaps at the next meeting, they will consider changing the current easing bias, and the interest rate guidance may be updated at the next meeting.
