Latest White House Press Conference: Anti-Fraud Team Wins Billions of Dollars, Strictly Prevents Illegal Immigration, Embraces AI Innovation

Acting as Vice President of the United States, Vance briefed reporters at a White House press conference, explaining that an anti-fraud task force has seized tens of billions of dollars, and reiterating Iran’s “nuclear red line” as well as the establishment of an $1.8 billion Lawfare compensation fund.

Harshly condemning corruption within the system, the anti-fraud task force netted tens of billions in illegal funds

Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, temporarily stood in for the White House press secretary, personally hosted a routine press conference, and outlined in detail the Trump administration’s recent key policy developments.

Regarding domestic affairs, Vance emphasized a major breakthrough by the anti-fraud task force (in the past few months, the task force has successfully intercepted and seized as much as tens of billions of dollars in fraudulent funds, covering fraud tied to the Federal Medicare, Federal Medicaid, the hospice care system, and fraudulent loans issued by the Small Business Administration (SBA).)

Vance said firmly that fraud amounts to double exploitation of U.S. taxpayers and vulnerable groups—stealing resources that should have benefited people who cannot afford medical expenses. President Trump’s goal is extremely clear: to aggressively prosecute these fraudsters and save every hard-earned cent for the American people.

In addition, at the intersection of immigration policy and anti-fraud efforts, he directly criticized the previous administration for turning asylum and refugee application programs into a breeding ground for fraud, allowing many illegal immigrants to be released into the U.S. mainland without proper background checks. The Trump administration has moved to close this loophole and continues to track and prosecute criminal actors who abuse the system to ensure overall safety for the U.S. border and society.

Focusing on Iran’s nuclear red line, pushing for Europe’s independent defense and regional peace

In terms of international diplomacy and regional security, the Iran nuclear deal is undoubtedly the White House’s top priority right now. Vance revealed that he personally flew to Islamabad, Pakistan’s Islamabad, and held a marathon negotiation for 21 hours with the Iranian delegation, demonstrating the U.S.’s sincerity in talks.

America’s absolute red line is that Iran must never be allowed to have nuclear weapons; otherwise it would trigger a global nuclear arms race and seriously threaten international security. Although the U.S. has succeeded in weakening Iran’s conventional military capabilities, President Trump still hopes to seek a restart of the two countries’ relationship that has been stalled for 47 years through active negotiations.

Vance warned that if the talks collapse, the U.S. is ready at any time to launch “Plan B,” achieving the United States’ strategic goals through the resumption of military operations.

Regarding accusations from the public that the U.S. delayed deploying 4,000 troops to Poland, Vance clarified that this is a delay in routine unit rotations. Its core strategy is to push European countries to take on more defense responsibilities, promote Europe’s independent territorial sovereignty, and reduce unilateral reliance on the U.S. military.

Tightening border security and cracking down on illegal immigration, embracing AI innovation while safeguarding national security

As technology and social issues intertwine, the Trump administration has laid out a clear policy direction on artificial intelligence (AI) and border drug control. In response to the fentanyl (Fentanyl) crisis, Vance said that through strict southern border control, as well as direct engagement between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, the projected number of Americans’ fentanyl deaths in 2026 is expected to be significantly lower than in 2025 and 2024.

On the issue of illegal immigration, Vance strongly backed recent anti–large-scale illegal immigration protests that broke out in London, UK, arguing that Western societies should reject the demand from Wall Street and corporate lobbyists for cheap labor. The government’s mission is to promote a high-wage environment and protect local workers’ right to employment, firmly opposing any form of illegal immigration amnesty bill.

In the technology development industry, regarding the AI model Mythos that has recently drawn attention, Vance reiterated that the government will take a stance of supporting innovation, aiming to maintain absolute leadership in international AI competitions, while also closely preventing bad actors from using the technology to exploit cyber security vulnerabilities.

Vance also specifically mentioned that Pope Leo XIV is about to issue a papal encyclical on AI, and he compared it to the guidance that Pope Leo XIII faced when confronting the challenges of the Industrial Revolution at the time. This document, combining new technology and social doctrine, is expected to have a profound impact worldwide.

Setting up an $1.8 billion compensation fund, correcting political persecution and reaffirming conduct

In response to the $1.8 billion “Lawfare” compensation fund that has sparked heated public discussion, Vance defended it forcefully at the press conference. The fund is intended to provide substantive compensation to U.S. citizens who were politically persecuted and subjected to improper judicial treatment by the previous administration. He cited Tina Peters of Colorado as an example to illustrate the absurdity of the justice system being abused: a minor offense that nevertheless resulted in an extreme sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

Vance emphasized that the compensation mechanism’s review will follow strict case-by-case assessments, and that Democrats as well as Republicans can apply, with the aim of fully ending the judicial chaos of convicting people based on political positions.

When asked by media outlets whether President Trump allegedly used inside information to conduct stock trades, Vance issued a firm rebuttal. He clarified that the president’s personal assets are entirely managed by independent wealth advisors and that he did not personally conduct stock purchases or sales. Vance further stated that both he and President Trump strongly support legislation to comprehensively ban members of Congress and public officials from engaging in individual stock trades. The policy will set an example through the public sector, eliminating conflicts of interest and corruption, and ensuring that government officials always serve the prosperity and security of the American people.
