Multiple cities and counties recorded short-term heavy rainfall exceeding 100 millimeters in one hour, with the maximum one-hour rainfall in the province being 124.9 millimeters in Teyong Town, Huidong County, Huizhou. It is expected that on the 21st, Guangdong Province will still experience heavy rain to torrential rain, with some areas experiencing extremely heavy rain; from the 22nd onward, rainfall will significantly weaken, and temperatures will rise. The Ji'an Meteorological Observatory in Jiangxi Province changed the red rainstorm warning signal at 11:23 on May 21, 2026: In the past three hours, two stations, Jinchuan Town and Shenzhengqiao Township in Xingan County, recorded over 100 millimeters. It is expected that in the next three hours, some areas of these towns will continue to receive rainfall, accompanied by short-term heavy rainfall, lightning, and other strong convective weather.
