Today I got "on-chain display" scammed again. Clearly the blocks have been produced, but my wallet/dashboard is still spinning there, and I’m losing my temper. To put it simply, what you see on-chain is actually the version translated for you by the node, RPC, or indexer you're connected to. Even a single bottleneck in the process can cause delays of a few minutes or even longer, and then you think you didn’t execute the trade, didn’t receive the funds, or the contract didn’t run... All sorts of misjudgments.

Recently, there have been a bunch of AI Agents doing automatic trading and interacting with the chain automatically. The narrative is hyped up, but when problems actually occur, it’s obvious who’s checking security carefully and who’s being lazy by using a free RPC that can be seen at a glance. The more automated it is, the more afraid you are of "seeing the old world." One mistake is enough to make you spend an entire night reviewing.

What I don’t regret is: every time something goes wrong, I curse a bit first, then switch the data source and cross-check. At least I know whether I’m arguing with the chain or with the middleman. That’s it for now.
