Over 60% share! Beijing's green electricity market-based trading volume for the first time surpasses thermal power

Reporters learned from the Capital Electricity Trading Center that from January to April this year, the scale of market-based green electricity trading in Beijing exceeded that of thermal power for the first time, with green electricity transactions accounting for over 60% of the total market-based electricity trading volume. The latest data shows that from January to April, Beijing's market-based green electricity trading reached 18.8 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 82.54% year-on-year, with the trading scale surpassing that of thermal power for the first time. Among them, 99.97% of green electricity comes from 14 provinces and regions including Xinjiang, Tibet, and Shanxi. In the first four months, Beijing's green electricity trading accounted for 63.63% of the total market-based electricity trading volume. (CCTV News)
