NVIDIA once again proves its absolute dominance in the field of artificial intelligence.
As of April 26, 2026, the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY2027) financial report was officially released today (21). Benefiting from the insatiable demand for AI computing power from global cloud giants and enterprises, NVIDIA delivered a comprehensive performance that far exceeded market expectations.
Q1 Performance Reasserts Dominance: Revenue Breaks $81.6 Billion, Net Profit Doubles
According to official data, NVIDIA’s Q1 financial results are truly staggering:
New Business Framework: Data Center Soars to $75.2 Billion
Notably, NVIDIA introduced a new business reporting framework in this earnings release, dividing its main segments into “Data Center” and “Edge Computing.”
As NVIDIA’s cash cow, the Data Center segment achieved a record-breaking $75.2 billion in revenue for Q1 (up 92% year-over-year). Breaking it down further, the compute (Processing) division contributed $60.4 billion (up 77%), while the networking division saw explosive growth, reaching $14.8 billion, a 199% increase.
Additionally, the newly separated Edge Computing segment also grew steadily, with quarterly revenue reaching $6.4 billion, up 29% year-over-year.
Giving Shareholders a Big Gift: Dividends Surge 24 Times, $80 Billion Buyback
Beyond strong fundamentals, NVIDIA also delivered a huge surprise in capital operations. The company announced that quarterly cash dividends would be sharply increased from the symbolic $0.01 to $0.25 (a 24-fold increase), to be paid out on June 26 (ex-dividend on June 4).
At the same time, NVIDIA’s board authorized a new stock repurchase plan worth $80 billion (no expiration date). In total, during this quarter, NVIDIA returned about $20 billion to shareholders through buybacks and dividends.
Jensen Huang: Agentic AI Is Creating Real Value, Targeting $91 Billion in Q2
Regarding this outstanding financial report, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang boldly stated in a press release:
Looking ahead to Q2 (Q2 FY2027), NVIDIA provided an ambitious forecast. The company estimates total revenue will reach $91 billion (±2%), with gross margin remaining around 75%. Notably, this forecast excludes revenue from China data center operations, indicating that even amid geopolitical and US export restrictions, NVIDIA’s global orders are still strong enough to support its aggressive growth trajectory.
