Looking at the stock market in 2025 filled with interesting opportunities in both the Thai and international markets, I want to share some short-term stock picks that I am currently following.
Actually, choosing good stocks isn't just about looking at numbers; you need to understand which investment style each stock suits. I see that in the Thai market, energy and agricultural stocks are currently quite strong. Specifically, SPRC benefits from higher refining margins, with the stock price at 5.10 baht, and a target price of 7.97 baht, offering over 50% upside.
Meanwhile, BTG and CPF are supported by rising agricultural commodity prices. BTG plans to expand its export business and is expected to grow about 12% in 2025. CPF is anticipated to benefit from increased exports, with a target price of 30 baht from the current 20.9 baht.
For IVL, a global petrochemical company, I see potential from investing in plastic recycling businesses, aligning with the trending ESG movement. The latest price is 23 baht, with a target of 27.50 baht.
Turning to the U.S. market, I am interested in QCOM, FTNT, AMAT, and TSLA for short-term trading. Among these, QCOM is driven by rising demand for chips in smartphones, IoT, and automotive sectors, with automotive growth at 61% year-over-year. The current price is $172, with a target of $186.33.
FTNT is a cybersecurity firm benefiting from increased demand for security solutions. Its latest quarterly EPS beat estimates by 21%. Price is $111, with a target of $119.11, suitable for short-term speculation.
APAT is supported by demand for AI and high-performance computing chip manufacturing equipment. Price is $169, with a target of $200. TSLA continues to be driven by rising electric vehicle sales, priced at $355, with a target of $500.
For long-term investments, MSFT, CVX, AMZN, and ADBE are attractive options. MSFT remains a leader in cloud and AI, with Azure cloud revenue growing 31%. CVX offers a high dividend yield of 4.46% and has new projects to boost production. AMZN continues to benefit from AWS and AI investments. ADBE is expanding in AI, with SaaS revenue growing steadily.
The most important thing is to have a clear investment plan—whether for short-term or long-term—and to manage risks well. Avoid putting all your money into a single stock; diversify your investments to reduce risk. Before investing real money, try a demo trading account first to understand the trading system and test your strategies.
Good investing requires knowledge, discipline, and patience. Study the information thoroughly, stick to your plan, and closely monitor your investments. I hope this sharing helps you see the opportunities in the 2025 stock market more clearly.
