I often see my friends asking about investing in Chinese funds, so I’d like to share a few thoughts. Actually, the Chinese market still has potential right now. Although there is quite a bit of volatility, long-term investing might be okay.

From the information I’ve looked at, Chinese index funds—namely **กองทุนจีน แบบดัชนี (Index Fund)**—are likely more suitable for beginners because they have low fees. Active funds depend on the fund manager’s actual ability. Based on historical performance, over the past 3 years SCBCEE has delivered about 6.88% per year, and SCBCEP has delivered 5.94%. Some Chinese funds perform well in the short term, but their performance weakens over the long term. Make sure to study the details in the prospectus—**หนังสือชี้ชวน**—before deciding.

No matter which fund you choose, think carefully about how much risk you can handle. Investing always involves risk. Don’t invest just because you see others investing.
