Mars Finance News: The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has issued a notice reminding the public to stay vigilant and beware of scams impersonating the Investor Compensation Fund. These scams often cause victims to suffer secondary losses, with fraudsters contacting individuals who have previously experienced investment losses and claiming that the victims are eligible to recover their losses through the compensation fund. They demand that victims pay an additional "deposit" or "handling fee" to arrange for the compensation fund to provide "reimbursement," leading to many victims being scammed a second time.
