In 2010, I saw that post on a geek forum: “10,000 BTC for two pizzas.” Back then, I thought the person was out of their mind—ten thousand “useless code” for two slices of pizza? So I closed the webpage and went back to mining my LTC.
Fourteen years later, I’m sitting in front of my computer, watching those two slices of pizza now worth billions of dollars, silently shutting off the calculator—afraid my heart can’t take it.
That’s the magic of BTC. It punishes those who despise it, and rewards those who believe in it. While I couldn’t become that “ten-thousand-coin lord,” luckily, I learned to HODL. Over the years on Gate.io, from BTC 30,000 to 60,000, from the LUNA crash to the inscription boom, my account has been like a Bitcoin tragedy-comedy.
