I just turned off the “unlimited approvals” on a few old dApps... To put it plainly, it’s like handing your house key to a stranger, and then telling them, “Feel free to come by anytime.” Most of the time you don’t notice it, but if something goes wrong, you wake up one day to find your balance is gone.

A lot of people find revoking permissions troublesome, and I do too—but then I think about it: locking the door before bed is also a hassle, and not locking it is even more troublesome. Especially lately, with the whole staking/shared security setup where the yields stack being criticized as “matryoshka”—projects layering on top of projects—it's hard to say which layer might spring a leak, and leaving approvals on unlimited amounts is even more ridiculous.

Anyway, my habit is: revoke after use. If I can set limits, I set limits. I’d rather click a few more buttons and have fewer heart-stopping moments. That’s it for today.
