American cross-border remittance and payment company MoneyGram announced that it has become a "anchored remittance verifier" for Tempo, a Layer 1 blockchain jointly developed by Stripe and Paradigm, which will verify remittance transactions on the network and integrate stablecoin settlements for its global fund flows, including Stripe. Tempo is focused on stablecoin trading and exchange, with use cases including remittances, retail commerce, and corporate fund management; its enterprise verifiers also include Stripe, Visa, and Zodia Custody. Tempo went live on its mainnet in mid-March and completed a $500 million Series A funding round in October of last year. (The Block)
