I just found out that the most expensive currency in the world is not the dollar or euro. 😅 The Kuwaiti Dinar ranks first with an exchange rate of 1 KWD to 3.26 USD because Kuwait is a major oil exporter producing 3 million barrels per day.

Followed by the Bahraini Dinar (2.65 USD) and the Omani Rial (2.60 USD), which are also oil-producing countries. Interestingly, Jordan and the British Pound also make the Top 5, even though Jordan is not as wealthy as other Middle Eastern countries, it still maintains the JOD at 1.41 USD.

Switzerland with the Swiss Franc (1.21 USD) and the Euro (1.13 USD) are also among the most expensive currencies in the world due to economic stability. Meanwhile, the Gibraltar Pound and the Cayman Islands Dollar are small currencies but remain expensive because they are pegged to strong currencies.

Most importantly, the most expensive currency in the world does not necessarily mean it is the safest. You need to consider the credibility of the country issuing that currency. Basically, choosing a currency depends on the economic stability and monetary policy of each country.
