The European Union initiates the MiCA regulatory framework assessment, accelerating the global cryptocurrency regulation race.
The European Union has launched a public assessment and consultation on MiCA. Public input and industry feedback will be collected until August 31, covering core areas such as issuance, ART, EMT, CASP, and others. The consultation will be conducted in two tracks: public and technical special consultations. The transition period ends in July 2026, and companies must comply. Zerohash has obtained MiCA CASP and a Dutch electronic money license; Poland has also passed local legislation. The European Commission also recommends concentrating regulatory authority over large cross-border institutions into ESMA to improve unified supervision levels.
