I just found out that the Thai stock market opens and closes like this. At first, I thought it only opened once, but it turns out there are also morning and afternoon sessions.

The Thai stock market opens from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM for the morning session, then takes a lunch break. After that, it opens again from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM for the afternoon session. Before the actual opening, there’s a pre-open period to observe the price for about 25 minutes. For the closing, there’s also a pre-close period of 5 minutes, with a randomly selected closing time between 4:35 PM and 4:40 PM.

For anyone interested in what time the UK stock market closes, or what time other overseas markets close, you need to check each country’s local time, because it’s not the same as Thailand at all. The Thai market’s opening hours are especially important if you’re trading on speculation—prices usually swing a lot right at the open. If you don’t know the exact times, you’ll definitely miss good opportunities. 📈
