Opus 4.7 can match Sonnet 4.6's maximum depth at low depth settings, with tokens only ten times that of the latter. It is advised to set it to high and avoid max. Each screenshot consumes about 1800 tokens. Cost reduction has three layers: cache breakpoints, scrolling to keep the last 3 images, and compressing when depth reaches 90%.
