I just found out that the opening time of the Thai stock market is not always exact. In the early morning, at 9:30 AM, it is a period for gathering orders, and the actual opening time is randomly set between 9:55 and 10:00 AM. This explains why stock prices are so volatile during the initial phase.



The market opens from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning, then takes a two-and-a-half-hour break. In the afternoon, it reopens from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and closes with a period from 4:35 PM to 4:40 PM, which also involves a random time.

It is quite important to know this kind of market opening time because stock trading cannot be done all the time. Each opening period is an opportunity that must be seized; otherwise, you might miss significant price movements. The initial opening, especially during the most volatile period, 💸
