I've been reviewing the upcoming dividends for the IBEX for May and June, and honestly, there's quite a bit of activity. I just saw that during these months, significant payments are due from companies like ACS, Acciona, Amadeus, and Repsol. Some amounts are quite substantial if you ask me.
The interesting part is that compared to what was paid from January to April, some companies are significantly increasing their dividends. Aena increased from €0.976 to €1.09, Inditex remains strong with its payments, and Indra apparently plans a 20% increase for July. Then there's the dark side with Telefónica, which had to cut its dividend in half due to debt issues.
Regarding sectors, tourism and luxury continue to look the best in the IBEX. It makes sense given everything happening globally. The industry remains weaker, but overall, the upcoming IBEX dividends in the coming months point to moderate growth. Some people take advantage of these calendars to buy before the payments and then sell at the peak. At least it provides a good read on the state of the Spanish economy.
