I was observing the movement of the biggest technology companies in Brazil and around the world, and it’s truly impressive how the tech sector continues to dominate the economy in 2026. The American giants are still leading, but what catches the most attention is how artificial intelligence has accelerated all of this.
Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, and Tesla remain the names setting the pace abroad. But you know what’s cool? Brazil has its own tech companies that are growing quite a bit. For example, Totvs has made interesting partnerships with AI and cloud ERP platforms. Locaweb and Sinqia are also still prominent here.
What I find curious is that many people still haven’t realized the potential of Brazil’s biggest tech companies. While they focus only on the foreign names, Brazilian companies are positioning themselves well. We also have a strong presence of multinationals here — IBM, Oracle, HP Enterprise — but ours are gaining momentum.
Speaking of growth, Nvidia is an incredible case. From 2020 to 2025, the stock appreciated by over 1,600%. Impressive. And that shows investing in tech really makes sense, especially with the wave of AI and automation just getting started.
If you’re thinking about exploring this sector, Brazil’s biggest tech companies offer more affordable options via B3, while international giants require a foreign brokerage. Both have their value. The tech market remains one of the most promising, and 2026 promises to be an important year for those paying attention to these movements. It’s worth following closely.
