Catena Labs completes $30 million Series A funding, led by Acrew Capital and a16z crypto

Deep Tide TechFlow News, May 20th, according to Fortune, Circle co-founder Sean Neville's company Catena Labs completed a $30 million Series A funding round, led by Acrew Capital and a16z crypto, with Breyer Capital, General Catalyst, and QED participating.

Catena Labs focuses on developing tools that support AI agents in securely conducting financial transactions, and has applied for a nationwide trust bank license from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in New York to obtain regulatory approval for handling payments and custodial client funds. The company previously completed an $18 million initial funding round in 2025, led by a16z crypto.
