South Korean stock market leverage investment reaches a record high
Mars Finance News, May 20 — According to data from the Korea Financial Investment Association cited by Barchart, the leverage investment amount (margin loans) in the Korean stock market has surged to approximately 35 trillion Korean won, reaching a record high, indicating that traders in the country’s stock market are holding extremely aggressive positions. Recently, due to negotiations and strikes related to Samsung Electronics and union labor conditions, the Korean stock market experienced significant volatility. High leverage ratios and high retail investor participation have also, to some extent, exacerbated market fluctuations.
