Earlier, some hardline or anti-China factions within the US MAGA movement were unhappy with Trump's attitude toward his visit to China;

Later, the Chinese side’s U.S. ambassador’s office began to make proactive statements, which inevitably makes me think it is “pouring oil on the fire.”
It further confirms that this visit to China was only a “political show,” with not much in terms of real, substantive progress.
On the concept of US-China tariffs, the biggest shift has been from “hurting each other” to framework negotiations and institutionalized communication.
However, I believe this is only temporary. Under the trend of the times, a long-term peace between China and the United States is not something either side can afford; the outcome of the midterm elections in November will determine the next direction!
