Wuhan Huangtupo Village, a rural area with only 585 residents, has seen 62 people die from cancer and leukemia over the years, many of whom are under 50.

Villagers suspect that the issue is related to long-term pollution from a soda ash factory at the entrance of the village.
Because before 2016, the villagers drank underground water, and not only was there severe dust near the factory, but crops around the sewage discharge ditch also grew poorly.
More importantly, this matter has not gone unreported.
