Trump's Great Victory?

The Department of Justice announces a "permanent ban" on the IRS investigating Trump's family
Both parties reach an agreement:
The IRS is "permanently prohibited" from pursuing past tax issues of Trump, his family, and affiliated companies
No audits, no collections, no re-investigations
This matter has sparked much controversy
The cause of the issue was Trump's previous $10 billion lawsuit related to the "tax return leak incident"
Recently, both sides settled the dispute through a settlement, signed by Acting Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche
Currently disclosed details include:
- The IRS is permanently barred from investigating tax records prior to the signing of the agreement
- The agreement contains legal language "waiving and releasing previous tax liabilities"
- Involving Trump himself, his family, and business systems
- Mainly targeting past taxes, not necessarily covering future filings
This is the first time in American history that a president has settled through legal means to prevent their tax system from being scrutinized
And what truly ignited controversy is no longer just Trump's family
But the fact that a president can make their business system permanently immune from IRS review
How much of the so-called "checks and balances" and "judicial independence" in the United States remains?
