According to Beating Monitoring, the competition for large models is evolving into a direct scramble for underlying physical computing power. OpenAI has launched the "Compute Power Guarantee" service, allowing enterprises to lock in access to computing power by committing to 1 to 3 years of funding, and receive tiered Token discounts based on the committed amount.

CEO Sam Altman warned that as large models become more powerful, global computing power will be limited for the long term in the future. Financial issues are pressing, and this long-term plan is essentially a mutually beneficial arrangement: enterprises spend money to lock in stable computing power for AI intelligence and production systems, while OpenAI secures funds in advance, enabling more stable planning and expansion of next-generation infrastructure.

The quota for this plan has a clear physical limit. Sam Altman explicitly stated that once the allocated quota is sold out, it will stop, and the underlying must reserve enough computing power, prioritizing the normal operation of core products like ChatGPT and Codex.
