Mars Finance News, May 20th, CZ posted a message stating that if there is an API Key in the code, it should be checked and replaced immediately, even in private repositories, to prevent potential security risks.
This reminder comes from GitHub's official report this morning.
GitHub officials stated that they are investigating an unauthorized access incident targeting their internal code repositories.
GitHub said that there is currently no evidence indicating that customer data stored outside of GitHub's platform, such as enterprise, organization, or code repository data, has been affected, but the company is continuously monitoring the infrastructure to prevent further abnormal activities.
GitHub stated that if it is later confirmed that user data or services are affected, they will notify customers through existing incident response and notification channels.
